Meet Our Team
Charlie Despain Ray, Principal
Charlie began his career in the political field, helping elect candidates in the Southeast. He has over 15 years experience as a marketing strategist, product development manager, and interactive consultant. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and has helped such companies as United HealthCare, headhunter.net (careerbuilder.com), The Charleston Regional Business Journal, AseraCare and LIN Television grow their businesses through strategic marketing and visionary product implementation.
He has helped traditional media companies evolve into the new media world and frequently can be seen giving speeches about new media to students at The University of Texas and Texas State near his home in Austin, Texas.
After helping companies grow their business through interactive marketing and social media, Charlie created Broad Street Interactive with the goal of providing that experience to advocacy marketing and political candidates reach online constituents as well as helping small and mid-size companies grow their business online.

Kelly Love Johnson, Senior Media Planner
Kelly is a journalist, editor, author, publicist, media consultant, communications director and award-winning writer with more than 15 years experience in newspaper and magazine publishing, marketing, and management. She has worked with local and national clients in nonprofit, political, retail, and media arenas on project management, branding, strategic marketing, interactive advertising, earned media, and public relations. Specialty areas include advertising revenue growth strategies, demographic identification and growth, online marketing, content development, and social media. Before joining Broad Street Interactive, Kelly was the Communications Director for the Linda Ketner for Congress campaign in South Carolina.

Scott Douglas, Account Manager
Scott is a graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in corporate communications. Scott was an intern for Broad Street Interactive and is a welcome addition to the team. Originally from Houston, Scott craves air conditioning. While attending The University of Texas he was online sales manager for The Daily Texan (The UT school newspaper). Scott is an avid Longhorn Fan.
